Spend an evening in Detroit with a Free Night at the Museum, compliments of the Kresge Foundation!

Dr. Kenneth L. Harris, President and CEO of The National Business League, will host an engaging and insightful discussion on the dynamic Black retail experience in Detroit. He will be joined by prominent local entrepreneurs Tony Stovall, co-owner of the iconic Hot Sam's, and Detroit Avenue of Fashion's Shawn Bumphers, owner of Pink Poodle Bridal Salonand Rufus Bartell, owner of Simply Casual. Together, they will explore the impact, challenges, and successes within Detroit's Black-owned retail sector, sharing valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship, community influence, and economic empowerment.

Dr. Harris is the 12th National President/CEO of The National Business League, the oldest and largest trade association for Black businesses in the country. He is an expert economic historian and entrepreneur, with a dual PhD in African and African American Studies.

Museum admission is FREE from 5-8 p.m.
